Rheumatoid arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis is associated with increased risk to develop certain forms of cancer.

Data obtained from a large Taiwanese cohort study suggest that RA patients have an increased  higher risk of cancer, especially hematologic and kidney cancers. The data warrant that RA patients be subjected to cancer screening programs.
